Math Journal #1

Posted by Jillian Parker on Monday, April 14, 2014

We have completed unit 5 of ten units in our math series.  This is the first math journal that covers those units.  Due to curricular changes, we do not do all of the pages in this journal. We use these journals as a tool.  As you flip through the book, you will notice blank pages.  These are pages that we either skipped because they did not align with our current curricular expectations, or because we did a different activity to learn the concept, or your child was absent.   If you’d like, it’s a great idea to go back with your child and have them do any missing pages.  Some blank pages relate to an activity that you won’t be able to do at home, so just work on pages that clearly show what to do. If you have any questions about your child’s journal, feel free to call or jot me a note.

**This journal does not need to be returned to school. It is your child's to keep.

Thanks!
