Hello!
Some of you recieved a PTC time sign up last Thursday in our 1st graders mail. A few families did not return the time preference sheet, so I took the liberty of choosing a time for your family. If the time works for you, Fantastic! If the time does not work for you, jot me a note or email me to schedule a time that does work with your family's schedule.
Thank You!!

We have completed unit 5 of ten units in our math series. This is the first math journal that covers those units. Due to curricular changes, we do not do all of the pages in this journal. Cold-Hot Reads
We will be doing a cold fluency read every Tuesday on a new passage. Your student will then practice this passage and he/she will be timed throughout the week to see how “hot” they can get on a passage. Over the remainder of the school year we will be tracking their progress on a graph. Students will then be able to see how much they have grown with their reading fluency.
To administer a timed read:
1. Use your phone, kitchen timer, or an analog clock with a secon...
