1st Grade Friends

Relatives Read

Posted by Jillian Parker on Thursday, October 22, 2015

Such an exciting day for our 1st graders, we are so happy that you will be able to join us for our “picnic read”. Hopefully (fingers crossed) it will be a beautiful day and we can enjoy reading and snacking on our quilts outside! If that is not that case, we will make it work in our classroom and the surrounding area!

Parents please try to be in the building by 2:20 on Thursday (the 22nd). At 2:30 I ask that everyone makes their way down to our classroom (green hall room #17) together. Hopefully everyone’s guest will arrive at the same time, so as to spare any first grade friends of hurt feelings. I can not wait to see all of the smiles on my surprised friends when their special guest rolls in to read with them!! We are making memories!!!

Please remember to bring:

· Your blanket/quilt

· Snack for your fabulous first grader and yourself

· A stack of your favorite books to read at home

**First graders will also have their classroom favorites as well as their poem books on hand for your reading pleasure!

See you soon,

Ms. Parker
