1st Grade Friends

We are attempting to reintroduce student government to GES. We hope to use this to develop some student leadership and voice in our building! Students will be working on planning events including but not limited to contests, community service events, after school outings, as well as meeting with building administrators regarding building issues (playground, lunch, etc).

Many of our 1st grade friends would like to participate in student council here at GES. Please chat with your child about whether or not they would like to be a representative for our class. If we have enough interest we will change our rep monthly. Student representatives are responsible for:

· Being at school for meetings on Tuesday mornings at 8:00 am

· Speaking up on behalf of the kids of room 17

~~ If we have a great deal of interest we will hold monthly elections for the student council seat.
