How do we find about weather around us and in other cities across America?
Weather Watcher's Project
Questions to answer:
• What is the current temperature in Grayling Michigan?
• What is the current temperature in the city you chose?
• Is it hotter or colder in Grayling than in the city you chose?
• What type of clothing should you wear today and what types of activities would you be able to do in Grayling and in the city you chose?
Your Task:
1. Decide which city in the United States you would like to watch the weather for five days.
2. Go to the online weather site to find the temperatures or call and ask a relative that may live in that town.
3. Record the temperatures in Grayling and your chosen city for five days or your weather chart.
4. Write and draw a picture on you weather chart describing the weather.
5. At the end of the five days, we will create a graph with Sunny, Windy, Snowy, Rainy, and Cloudy days Grayling had as well as the city you chose.
6. With a partner of your choosing look at the graph and discuss the results of the weather comparisons. Write three or four sentences comparing the weather in Grayling to the city you chose.
